Tyler is, in a very many number of ways, the crown jewel of East Texas. And much like the rose for which it is known, the season of blossoming is evident by the growth and sophistication of this once small town. With all that is here and all that is coming, the city has never lost its southern hospitality and charm.

However, as all of its residents can attest,
THERE IS NOTHING TO DO IN TYLER!!
We are aiming to change that. The Understudy offers weekly Improv, Stand Up, and other comedy shows featuring comedians from all over North and East Texas. We have the best comedians in Tyler performing at The Understudy; including Card 53, Brandon Davidson, Tyler Elliott, as well as other nationally recognized talent.
While most weekend shows are differing types of live comedy, The Understudy is much more than just a comedy club. We have open mic nights, trivia nights, and are available to be rented out for your private gathering. We will also be hosting occasional special events.
